    Join us as we collaborate with Richmond Magazine, TMI Consulting Inc., the Future of Richmond's Past and local restaurants to offer the final discussion in the 2014 "Community Conversations" series. Over the past four months, we have discussed several locations in Richmond and how they have evolved over time. For this final conversation, participants will discuss the changes and major events that occurred along the Boulevard with Richmond Magazine’s Managing Editor, Tina Eshleman.

    The 10th Annual Richmond History Makers Program pays tribute to everyday citizens and outstanding organizations that make significant contributions to the greater Richmond region. The History Center and its partners celebrate their success at a gala reception and award ceremony on October 21st.

    Ten historic downtown sites host a free holiday open house, featuring tours, living history and reenactments, gift shops, children’s activities, refreshments, carriage rides, music, and special guest appearances. 2013 participating sites include the Valentine Richmond History Center and the Wickham House, the John Marshall House, the Virginia State Capitol, the Virginia Executive Mansion, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, the Museum and White House of the Confederacy, Monumental Church, the Egyptian Building, the Beers House, and St. John’s Church.
